Archival Pigment Print, 24 inches x 72 inches
This work explores how to represent the passage of time in an atemporal world. Digital technology affect our interaction with how we understand and experience the passage of time. In this piece, a single moment is captured, sliced, expanded and layered in an effort to be examined and experienced more deeply. Taken immediately after the passing of family member, the original photograph represents a split second of time. In its altered form, the image now expresses how some seconds carry more weight than others and the experience of time varies from the measurement of time.
