CAS50 Collection – Leicester

Lumen is proud to celebrate the history of computer art through its connection to the Computer Arts Society (CAS), founded 50 years ago. Following a very successful exhibition as part of Event Two at the Royal College of Art, the latest additions to the CAS50 Collection are now being shown by Interact Digital Arts  at the LCB Depot Lightbox Gallery in Leicester between 22nd July and 7th August. The collection features work by 10 Lumen Prize finalists and winners, including  Damien Borowik, Genetic Moo, Gibson/Martelli (2015 Gold Prize Winner),  Fabrizio Poltronieri, Esther Rolinson and Sean Clark, Andy Lomas (2014 Gold Prize Winner)  Patrick Tresset, Paul Brown, William Latham, and Boredom Research.

The exhibition is open Monday to Friday 9am until 7pm, with an evening event with live electronic music and multimedia on Friday 26th July.

CAS50 Catalogue 2019 – Pre-orders now open

The Computer Arts Society is also producing an updated catalogue for the CAS50 Collection that features images and information about all 24 artists included in the collection. It will be around 100 pages and contains a summary of Event Two, together with links to online videos and more pictures. It will be published in November and it is now available for pre-order at a price of £15 at Etsy.  Any funds raised above the cost of production will go towards future exhibitions.
