Curator’s Study Day: Curating & Installing Digital Art
The Cello Factory Gallery, 33-34 Cornwall Rd
We’re delighted to be partnering with the Contemporary Art Society on a Curator’s CPD Study Day which aims to explore how institutions can adapt to the challenges of curating and installing art created with the latest technology, including Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality, AI & Generative Art, as well as 3D Sculptural & Interactive Art.
The event will take place at The Cello Factory in Waterloo, which is showing our 2019 Director’s Showcase, a selection of 2019 longlisted and shortlisted artists. In the first part of the day, we will have a series of short presentation by Lumen artists and curators, including Jake Elwes whose work engages with Artificial Intelligence and David Colombini who creates sculptural works with digital tools and Melanie Lenz, digital curator at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
During lunch, Jack Addis, curator and director of the Lumen Art Projects will provide a walk- through of the exhibition.
In the second part of the day, there will be a discussion moderated by our Chief Executive and Founder Carla Rapoport and a Q&A on both curation and installation.
